(ABI-N)
Bylaws
Chapter Coordinator: The Chapter Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the functions of the Chapter in accordance with the procedures as determined by the officers of ABI-N.
Meeting Facilitator: The Facilitator actually runs the meeting according to the format approved by the ABI-N officers. The Chapter Coordinator may function as the Meeting Facilitator or the Chapter Coordinator can choose other members to be the Meeting Facilitator when deemed necessary or desirable.
Requirements of members:
- To pay annual dues within 30 days of being billed each year. Bills will be sent out prior to the member’s annual anniversary of initially joining ABI-N and then on the same date annually.
- Attendance is a courtesy to the rest of the members of the group, especially to the scheduled speaker. A member’s category may be considered open and the member may be dropped from the group if the member misses three meetings in a row without a valid excuse. Any reasonable excuse will be accepted. If a member knows in advance that a meeting will be missed, the member should let the Coordinator know in advance. If the absence is unexpected, the member should contact the coordinator as soon as possible to give the Coordinator the reason for missing the meeting. In the event that a member cannot reach the Chapter Coordinator or other designated person, the member should contact Art Moffa, ABI-N President, at 813-404-3570 or email to: art@artmoffa.com
- To provide a reasonable gratuity to servers when meetings are held at restaurants or other facilities serving food and the gratuity is not included in the meal charge.
- To provide at least one business lead per meeting to another member, if possible. Members are encouraged to prepare a written lead slip to give to the person who would receive the lead. Ideally, the lead slip should be prepared in advance of the meeting in order that the lead slip can be filled out properly with all of the needed information.
- Members are expected to provide products and services with the highest levels of ethics, quality, value, honesty, fair dealing, and customer service. If it is deemed by ABI-N management, in its sole discretion, that a member’s behavior threatens the reputation of ABI-N, the membership of that member may be terminated.
- Membership Fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. Meeting Fees are also non-refundable unless the Restaurant/Meeting Place has to close operations due to a storm or other cause.
